Course Description

What does this class cover for RBT credential requirements?

This course covers the requirement for the 40 hour coursework per the BACB. This course is approved by the BACB to provide a certificate of completion for the requirement. This certificate is transferable and can be held in accordance to 2nh edition RBT task list requirements.

What are the requirements for the RBT credential?

Requirements for an RBT credential per the BACB are the 40 hour coursework, a competency assessment performed by a BCBA/BCaBA/BCBA-D with a supervision credential, a certification exam provided by the BACB, ongoing monthly supervision working directly in the field of ABA, and yearly recertification detailed in the 2nd edition RBT Handbook.

How is the course set up?

The course is a self directed online course able to be started at your own convenience. There are no materials or books required for the course. All additional reading to meet the 40 hours required is provided within the coursework. Once the course is started, it must be completed within 180 days or the BACB will not honor this requirement.

What are the requirements?

The student must complete this course within 180-days from the time they start the course work. In addition, the BACB will not accept training hours less than 40 hours spent on this online course. The instructor can view the student's interactions with the course and can use discretion in determining if the student honestly completed 40 hours.

A Certificate of Completion for 40-hours of RBT training will be generated when you have completed/reviewed all course material, passed all Review parts.
When you have completed the course, please do not select me, Bryan Pinto, BCBA as your supervisor with the BACB as you are required to obtain the RBT Competency Assessment from with a supervisor you work with or you have a contract to do so.
The instructor can view the student's interactions with the course and can use discretion in determining if the student honestly completed 40 hours. The instructor will not sign off on a certificate of completion if 40 hours was completed in less than 180 days.

This training program is based on the Registered Behavior Technician RBT Task List (www.bacb.com) and is designed to meet the 40-hour training requirement for the RBT credential. This program is offered independent of the BACB.

This training course if for individuals who work with individuals with disabilities and behavioral problems who would like to further themselves as a professional and direct care workers.
